Veteran's Day
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
THOUGHTS ON VETERANS DAY
General Douglas MacArthur
It is the SOLDIER,
It is the SOLDIER,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the SOLDIER,
It is the SOLDIER,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the SOLDIER,
It is the SOLDIER,
not the campus organizers,
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the SOLDIER,
It is the SOLDIER,
who salutes the flag,
who serves the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag. AMEN.
who allows the protester to burn the flag. AMEN.
I would like to post a personal thank you as a proud Army wife to my husband Tim, a Army Officer and as a proud daughter to my father Mike Colp, a Vietnam Veteran. Thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedom.
